Will the conference have a dress code?

We know no one loves this idea, but unfortunately there will be a dress code, and as outlined in the Rules of Procedure, it is the following: a formal attire, in accordance with diplomatic status. For male-identifying participants, a suit and tie are obligatory. For female-identifying participants, revealing outfits are prohibited. Informal clothing such as jeans or trainers are also prohibited.

What will be the MUN format of the conference?

The conference will take place in a format that is a mix between BISMUN and HMCE format – see the Rules of Procedure for more information.

Do I need to register with my school?

Unfortunately yes, but the process isn’t too complicated, all you need to do is head over to the “Sign up!” page, and all the instructions will be there once delegate registrations open.

Will there be social events?

Of course!! We will have a diplomatic dinner on the first night, and a party on the second! You can find more information by heading to the Provisional Schedule.

Is there any social media?

Yes, we have an Instagram page, where you can find more information about the conference: @ibsbmun.

How much do I have to pay?

What are some interesting things I can do in Bucharest as an international student?

Bucharest is truly an incredible city to visit, so when you’re not too busy with the actual conference, you can go to places such as the Palace of the Parliament, the Village Museum, the University Square, and the Arc de Triomphe.

The city has plenty of green spaces and parks that you can relax in, such as Herastrau Park, Cismigiu Park, Tineretului Park, and IOR park, and many busy malls, such as Parklake, Mega Mall, Baneasa Shopping Centre, and AFI Cotroceni; however, if all else fails, you can always head to the Old Centre on Lipscani Street for a good time!
